ProTraxx & State Department of Education Collaborate to Create a “Green” Process for Sharing Teacher Certification Data with Connecticut School Districts
|
January 27th, 2009 - Middletown, CT –- ProTraxx, the leading provider of professional development management software for public school districts in the state, announces EzCertification Data Exchange, its collaborative initiative with the Connecticut Department of Education for electronic sharing of selected educator certification data. The new, entirely ‘green’ process automates existing paper-based efforts for the sharing of data between the State and educational organizations and complements ProTraxx’s widely utilized educator credential tracking application, EzTraxx Online.
Over the last 10 years, ProTraxx has worked with more than 1,000 Connecticut schools and educational programs to streamline and simplify the recordkeeping mandates for schools as professional development providers. Its new data exchange service includes the monthly automatic population of selected certification data from the State’s certification database to clients employing educators statewide and eliminates the paper-based CEU reporting methods for the individual educator.
The population of selected certification data within the EzTraxx system will ensure accurate, up-to-date information is published to the educator’s individual summary pages and define their requirements for certificate maintenance, and eliminating the manual method of data entry by school personnel.
Through an electronic audit process, the State Bureau of Educator Standards and Certification will have EzTraxx Online access to appropriate ProTraxx CEU transcript data compiled by providers with EzTraxx to perform annual compliance verification, eliminating a substantial effort dedicated to the existing paper-based methods.
State Bureau Chief for Educator Standards and Certification, Nancy Pugliese, along with State CEU Coordinator, Patricia Wilson, will join Pat Kell from ProTraxx at the kickoff event at the Cromwell Marriott on Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 at 8:30 AM.
