THIS CLASS IS NOT OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT AT THIS TIME!
This multi-session, 12-hour course prepares special education student teachers to develop high-quality, legally compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that ensure students with disabilities receive an equitable and meaningful education.
Educators will gain tools and strategies to create IEPs based on each student’s unique strengths and needs, set rigorous and measurable goals aligned with state standards, and establish effective progress monitoring practices. The course will include live demonstrations of the Connecticut Special Education Data System (CT-SEDS), modeling how its design and functionality supports IEP development.
This series is designed to complement student teaching experiences and is not a CT-SEDS proficiency training.
