Restorative Practices for Educators: Introduction to Restorative Practices & Using Circles
9/26 & 10/17/2025 | 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Building and maintaining relationships and a safe environment are critical to student success. Day-to-day conflicts arise in schools, at work, home and in our neighborhoods. Restorative Practices teaches us how to prevent and manage conflict in ways that support students, and adults, in making positive changes to their behavior. Participants who attend this two-day workshop will be provided practical ways to use Restorative Practices effectively in schools, the workplace, home, and in a variety of settings and contexts.
Objectives (appears on the evaluation form):
Participants will:
Gain knowledge of Restorative Practices and its main principles
Understand how Restorative Practices works to prevent issues before they arise
Learn how to use circles as one component of Restorative Practices
Improve their ability to teach students and adults to take responsibility for their own actions
