This session will focus NAEYC Topic Area 2.J: Creative Expression and Appreciation for the Arts. We will discuss the “big ideas” of this topic area and analyze high quality practices related to creative arts for young children. The study group process will model a team approach for exploring the Standards and will provide participants with strategies to extend discussions to their own settings. Please bring with you a copy of the NAEYC Early Learning Program Accreditation Standards and Assessment Items.
