Bridge to Kindergarten Series: Authentic Assessment in Early Childhood
In this session, participants will explore the various ways to gather authentic assessment data in the early childhood classroom. Specific attention will be given to tools and techniques for gathering formative assessment data to inform instruction. Intended audience: Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers.
Objectives
"Participants will:1. Describe authentic assessment.2. Identify opportunities to gather authentic assessment data in the early childhood classroom.3. Plan to gather authentic assessment data through play-based, developmentally appropriate experiences in the early childhood classroom."
