Play-Based Learning Training of Trainers

This training of trainers session will focus on defining play-based learning and it's pedagogical approaches in grades K-5 to allow school leaders to turnkey professional learning in their school/district. Participants will learn how to introduce the concept of play-based learning, identify considerations for implementation, and learn how to embed instructional strategies into new or existing curriculum. Participants will gain practical information that will support their school community in implementing this new legislation.

Objectives

Gain pedagogical understanding for play-based learning at the classroom level
Shared understanding of instructional practices that support play-based learning
Increase capacity for leading the work internally at the district and school level for play-based learning
Understand and apply play-based learning into curriculum at the elementary level
