Connecticut Core Standards: Higher Education Institute will benefit all those who are affiliated with teacher education, preparation and/or advanced certification programs. Education is changing – come and learn about the key shifts precipitated by the Connecticut Core Standards, examine ways to promote the development and delivery of cognitively rigorous lessons, and explore the impact of the CCS on lesson planning.

Objectives
Review the key shifts in the Connecticut Core Standards and the implications of these shifts for teacher preparation programs, and explore the Connecticut Core Standards’ emphasis on rigor, and its impact on lesson planning.
