Focusing on Comprehension in ESL Instruction
Comprehension is not only the product of good reading skills, it is also the process. One major way in which second language learners acquire grammatical and other kinds of language knowledge is through exposure to and comprehension of the meaning of both oral and written texts. Participants will review teaching strategies and materials that will help them to better understand the process of comprehension.
