Smarter Balanced Assessment System: Connecting the Claims to Classroom Instruction
Elementary Math and ELA

The Smarter Balanced Claims are derived from the Common Core State Standards and represent reporting categories for the summative and interim assessments. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in activities to better understand what students need to know and be able to do to demonstrate mastery of the standards. Through this exploration, teachers will also understand how classroom instruction can support student learning.
