CCRS-Vocabulary
Since their announcement in April of 2013, the College and Career Readiness (CCR) Standards for Adult Education have become the focal point for changing our thinking about how we plan for and provide instruction to our adult students. CCR Standards for Adult Education were designed to identify what content was most important and most relevant for ALL adult learners as they continue to pursue their educational and career goals. Over the next few years, this subset of the Common Core State Standards will be a major factor when purchasing materials, developing curriculum, planning lessons, evaluating, and for overall Adult Education programming. The following professional development sessions will focus on understanding the standards and developing strategies and skills for instruction for adult learners in Reading. If you are not currently working with an AE program, there is a charge of $50/ ½ day session or $100/full day session; billed after completion of the workshop.
Objectives
The objective is to identify what content was most important and most relevant for ALL adult learners as they continue to pursue their educational and career goals.
