AMI Assisitant Course Training FALL - WINTER 2014

This course is an official Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Assistants Training Course. The course consists of weekly class lectures, discussions and activities. Participants must also log 8 additional hours of observation in Montessori Primary and Elementary classrooms. Reading assignments and written papers will be assigned throughout the training. Participants successfully completing the course will be awarded an AMI Assistants Course Certificate.

Objectives
Participants will be able to:-Identify key tenets of the Montessori philosophy and teaching methods-Understand the role of the assistant in the Montessori classroom -Acquire the ability to learn when and when not to intervene with students in the classroom to maximize student independence-Demonstrate respect , courtesy and grace when interacting with students and adults in the Montessori environment
