NGSX Virtual Series: Becoming a Nex-Gen Science Teacher
NGSX is partnering with CREC to offer a virtual pathway, Becoming a Next-Gen Science Teacher (V-BNGST), for new and veteran science teachers, STEM coaches, district science leaders, and any educator interested in learning about what NGSS looks like in action. This blended learning workshop series will be facilitated using the NGSX web-based professional learning program and consists of six full day, virtual live sessions. Facilitators will creatively and strategically use multiple web-based tools to engage participants in productive discussions, and review effective instructional strategies such as driving question boards, summary tables, and productive talk moves. In addition to the virtual sessions, participants will be expected to complete 30-60 minutes of additional asynchronous learning after each session. NOTE: When you enroll for this course, you are securing your spot only for 6 sessions. Each participant will have a materials box that they will need to pick up at CREC central. The instructor will send you an email before the start of the workshop with further details about pick-up and accessing the live sessions.
