TEACHING STRATEGIES TO SUPPORT YOUNG CHILDREN'S LEARNING
Children learn through the environment: both the physical environment (toys, materials, games, books, etc.) and the human environment (interactions with adults and other children). In this workshop, participants will explore over 20 different strategies that teachers can use to help a child learn new information/skills or to reinforce information/skills that the child has learned recently. There will be opportunities to view videoclips that show teaching strategies in action and participants will also spend time reflecting on their current practices to develop a plan of action.
