Cognitive CoachingSM Foundations Part I
2023 Spring Cohort
Participants will first learn the three foundational tools of coaching (pausing, paraphrasing, and asking mediative questions) and then apply those tools in the three basic coaching maps (Planning and Reflecting). They will also learn different ways to support individuals in 1:1 conversations, from coaching to collaborating to consulting with them them.
Objectives
To develop the identity and increase capacity as a coach.
Rationale for Providing this Professional Learning Experience
Supporting individuals is a skill which can be learned and mastered, given appropriate training, support, and time for reflective practice.
