Improving Peer Services with Performance Support: Love Your Data!
Interactive Online Workshop
This seminar overviews appreciative peer performance support (not to be confused with clinical supervision) that promotes currently experienced and cumulative professional development. After reviewing the SAMHSA (2015) Peer Worker Core Competencies five principles we discuss the vital elements of professional development including ongoing reflection and self-assessment, monitoring process and outcome data, discussing challenges and celebrating successes with peers and supervisors. Supervisors are encouraged to use the Peer Worker Supervisor Self-Assessment and other tools found in this Peer Performance Support Overview.
Objectives
Upon completion of this seminar participants will be able to:1. Identify the six rationales for using the Partners for Change Outcome Management System(PCOMS),2. Calculate your peers’ three research-based key progress indicators, and3. Participate in a four-step appreciative performance support process that stimulates currentlyexperienced and cumulative career growth.
