Narcan: Train the Trainers (Virtual)

Lives are being saved through the use of Narcan throughout our community. Narcan, or Naloxone, is medicine that can be given to anyone who may be experiencing an overdose of opiates such as heroin, methadone, oxycontin, fentanyl and others. Learn how to identify an overdose, who is at risk, how to administer Narcan and learn overdose education.

Objectives:
  • Teach about Narcan's uses and importance.
  • Equip with the skills to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses.
  • Introduce and advocate for harm reduction strategies to reduce negative outcomes associated with drug use.
  • Enhance understanding of the opioid crisis, including risk factors and the nature of opioids.
  • Discuss the "Stages of Change" model within a harm reduction framework to support recovery journeys.
