Using Area Models to Teach Math Concepts-CANMI
Mathematically proficient students reason through problem solving. Our role as instructors is to facilitate and guide their understanding. Area models can be a way to bridge understanding between an abstract equation and a concept, as well as be a tool for problem solving. Area models help us see the structure of math. Come explore ways to teach relevant math concepts to students at all levels.
