Assessment of Reading Disabilities
Learn to construct a comprehensive evaluation to identify areas of need in literacy for students with disabilities and develop recommendations to create appropriate instruction.
Objectives
1. Match each type of assessment and its purpose. 2. Understand the difference among screening, diagnostic, outcome, and progress-monitoring assessments. 3. Using case study data, accurately interpret subtest scores from diagnostic surveys to describe a student's patterns of strengths and weaknesses and instructional needs (Level 2). 4. Write appropriate, specific recommendations for instruction and educational programming.
