Math for Science and Social Studies
Just as students draw on their literacy skills to understand science and social studies subject matter, students need numeracy skills to interpret science and social studies material. During our session you can expect to experience activities you can use with your classes. These activities will help students access non-textual information and reason from data. If you are not currently working with an AE program, there is a charge of $50/ ½ day session or $100/full day session; billed after completion of the workshop.
Objectives
Understand concepts of Measures of Central Tendency. Be able to apply Scientific Inquiry in the classroom. Collect new ideas for teaching about Graphs.
