CREC: Capitol Region Education Council

Disability Contact Person
This is a required training for all designated Disability Contact Persons (DCPs). The training consists of a review of the roles and responsibilities of the DCPs as well as disability law as it applies to Adult Education. Finally a summary of all disability issues that have been reported by the programs during the past year with resolutions is discussed. Participants take away a renewed understanding of their roles and responsibilities as well as an increased awareness of the issues currently facing adult educators in CT. The three hour training is offered twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon of the same day, so that all DCPs may attend regardless of their teaching commitments.
Objectives
The objective is to review the roles and responsibilities of the DCP as well as disability law as it applies to Adult Education
