The Social Justice and Equity Symposium
Cultural Responsiveness Through Behavior Supports
During this symposium, participants will use a social justice and culturally responsive lens to examine data and the actions of expelling, suspending, and pushing out students of color from schools. The main objective of the symposium is to provide job-embedded approaches to educators who are responsible for delivering culturally responsive education and supporting socially just experiences for all students. Philosophies, policies, structures, systems, practices and the impact on students (especially students of color and students from cultural and linguistically diverse groups), and behavior support systems will be examined.
