Structured Word Inquiry: A Morphological Vocabulary Intervention for Grades 4-12
Structured Word Inquiry is a type of vocabulary instruction that explicitly targets any features and conventions that govern “word structure". This strategy teaches students to investigate the meaning of the word, it's phonology, etymology and morphology. This strategy fits well with structured literacy instruction.
Objectives
Participants will: identify the essential elements of structured word inquiry, differentiate between two types of structured word inquiry, create word sums using structured word inquiry techniques.
