Co-Teaching Basics
Includes the book "Advancing Co-Teaching Practices: Strategies for Success"
This introductory co-teaching workshop will outline roles and responsibilities for new or untrained co-teaching pairs. Four of the eight basic co-teaching areas will be highlighted: communication, physical arrangement of the classroom, instructional presentation and planning. Presentation formats include: learn and practice, paired discussions, lecture, and engagement application activities. Co-teaching pairs are strongly encouraged to attend as a team.
Objectives
Participants will: 1. Learn and identify key parity strategies; 2. Identify roles, responsibilities, and practices for co-instructing in a co-taught classroom; 3. Practice key planning methods to help you work smarter and not harder.
