Capstone Collaborative: Designing Powerful Learning Experiences for Middle School Students
A Capstone project can serve as the culminating and usually integrative experience of a student’s educational experience. During this two-day workshop, participants will understand the features of powerful Capstone learning experiences, examine examples of Capstone projects, and be provided with tools to design a project that aligns with their individual school goals and curriculum. Participants will collaborate in grade level teams or bands to create a product to take back to their schools and implement.
Objectives
Participants will:•Discuss and examine the key features of an effective Capstone experience•Utilize tools to support their planning and implementation of a Capstone experience•Collaborate to design a learning experience to bring back to their schools.
