Pronunciation Strategies for English Language LearnersTeaching English pronunciation is a challenging task with different objectives at every level of instruction. This session will focus on strategies and activities that can be incorporated into lessons to help ESL students improve pronunciation. We will discuss some common pronunciation problems and some of the difficulties in the formation of sounds in English, review the importance of phonemic awareness in second language acquisition, and learn some strategies to improve pronunciation for students at every level. If you are not currently working with an AE program, there is a charge of $50/ ½ day session or $100/full day session; billed after completion of the workshop. Snow date 2/8, 2018
