ESL Workforce Readiness – Transitions to Careers for ESL Students
ESL students come to our programs with varying levels of job skills/experience and education, but under WIOA legislation we must provide educational opportunities for them to become work-ready. For many students getting a job is only the first hurdle as they try to become knowledgeable about American laws and rights in the workplace. Presenters from the US Dept. of Health and US Dept. of Public Health will provide information and discussion about workers’ rights, worker safety and wages for both documented and undocumented workers. If you are not currently working with an AE program, there is a charge of $50/ ½ day session or $100/full day session; billed after completion of the workshop.
