SIM™ Helping Secondary Students Who Struggle with Reading: Accessing Content - Paraphrasing Strategy
(Includes Workbook) SNOW DATE is December 17
Are you working with struggling secondary students, particularly in the area of reading comprehension? Would you like to know more about research-based strategies to support the development of reading comprehension skills with both fiction and non-fiction skills? Perfect for inclusive classroom, resource rooms, and all Tiers of intervention groups. These strategies are designed to enable students to cope effectively with curricular demands and to teach them how to generalize their use of these skills in a variety of settings.
Objectives
1. Participants will learn strategic process that increases student achievement. 2. Participants will learn a specific strategy to increase reading comprehension with both fiction and non-fiction material.
