Workshop #4 Increasing students' variety of communication functions beyond requesting when using vocal output AAC strategies
As required by IDEA and emphasized as a targeted use of funds under the ARRA, assistive technology (AT) is an essential component of effective instructional support for many students with disabilities.
Objectives
The objectives of the AT Consortium is to assist districts and organizations to develop capacity to provide high quality assistive technology services within the school setting to help students achieve independence, participate in the general curriculum, and improve their achievement.
