How to Adapt a Monthly Thematic Curriculum for Students with Significant Disabilities in an Hour or Less
This fast-paced workshop is designed for the special educator, paraeducator, speech-language pathologist, general educator, or anybody else who needs to adapt curriculum for students with significant disabilities. Throughout this session, tools, tips and strategies will be shared so that participants will be able to adapt a monthly, thematic curriculum in record time! Come learn how to work smarter, not harder, to have more time in the day - which we all need! Please bring a personal device with you. If you have an iPad and computer/Chromebook bring both as we will be working with iOS apps and websites.

Things to know -

  • Workshop registration does not include breakfast or lunch. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverage or visit the CREC Central Café (111 Charter Oak Ave.) which offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options with daily specials.
  • Bring a refillable water bottle and/or beverage.
  • Bring a laptop or other electronic device (some workshops require only laptop) for note taking and access to online resources.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
  • Sometimes workshop room temperatures can vary so we suggest you dress in layers.
  • Please check the CREC website or your local TV station for any delay/closing information.
