NGSS Unit Bundle Assessment Development Series (Grade 2): Recommended for kindergarten teachers and elementary coaches using the CREC NGSS curriculum.

Assessment of the three dimensions of the Next Generation Science Standards is a critical component of implementation. As a part of the consortium's work, we will be offering assessment development sessions for each grade level focused on developing formative assessments, summative assessments and student rubrics specific to the CREC consortium unit bundles to measure and monitor student progress towards the NGSS performance expectations. NOTE: This workshop series is ONLY available to districts using CREC’s NGSS unit bundles, and the same person must attend both days.

Objectives
Assess and develop NGSS-aligned summative tasks and formative assessments for all students. Recommended for kindergarten teachers and elementary coaches using the CREC NGSS curriculum.

Notes

Things to know -

Workshop registration does not include breakfast or lunch. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverage or visit the CREC Central Café (111 Charter Oak Ave.) which offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options with daily specials.
Bring a refillable water bottle and/or beverage.
Bring a laptop or other electronic device (some workshops require only laptop) for note taking and access to online resources.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
Sometimes workshop room temperatures can vary so we suggest you dress in layers.
