Illustrative Math - Grade 8
Illustrative Mathematics is a problem-based core mathematics curriculum for grades 6–8 that develops students’ mathematical thinking skills through questioning, discussion, and real-world contexts and connections.Unit overviews help teachers structure their lessons so that the progression of the big mathematical idea in the unit is coherent. We will discuss how teachers can incorporate instructional decisions such as effective questioning, pacing, formative assessment, and differentiation. NOTE: Unit overviews consist of 8 sessions, 2 hours each. If you choose to add-on virtual coaching, it will consist of three (3) coaching sessions.
