Connecting the SAT to Classroom Math Practice
This half day workshop will provide teachers and instructional leaders with professional development on the redesigned features of the SAT and how to connect the SAT to classroom practice. Participants will receive an overview of the redesigned SAT and review the College Board Assessment Scores and Subscores. They will also will also engage in activities that focus on the Mathematical Content Domains, sample SAT Math questions, and connecting instructional practices to the SAT.

Notes

Things to know -

  • Workshop registration does not include breakfast or lunch. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverage or visit the CREC Central Café (111 Charter Oak Ave.) which offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options with daily specials.
  • Bring a refillable water bottle and/or beverage.
  • Bring a laptop or other electronic device (some workshops require only laptop) for note taking and access to online resources.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
  • Sometimes workshop room temperatures can vary so we suggest you dress in layers.
  • Please check the CREC website or your local TV station for any delay/closing information.
