Designing and Implementing Professional Learning Experiences that Honor the Learner
Embedded professional learning has been shown to be one of the most effective manner of professional learning for educators. Because of this, more and more teachers, administrators and instructional coaches are asked to facilitate sessions. Participants in this half-day workshop will learn the basics of Adult Learning Theory and how to apply them to the planning and delivery of teacher workshops and presentations.

Things to know -

·   Workshop registration does not include breakfast or lunch. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverage or visit the CREC Central Café (111 Charter Oak Ave.) which offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options with daily specials.

·   Bring a refillable water bottle and/or beverage.

·   Bring a laptop or other electronic device (some workshops require only laptop) for note taking and access to online resources.

·   Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.

·   Sometimes workshop room temperatures can vary so we suggest you dress in layers.

·   Please check the CREC website or your local TV station for any delay/closing information.
