Book Club - Deeper Discussions in CRP: Hip Hop Culture and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy
Participants will participate in a four part series of book groups that include deep and focused analysis of topics connecting race to the understanding and application of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy. Participants will examine the values and assets of marginalized groups and how they benefit teaching toward anti-racist aims. Required text (not included): "For White Folks Who Teach in the Hood...and the Rest of Y'all Too: Reality Pedagogy and Urban Education" by Christopher Emdin
