NGSS for All Students (6-12)

This virtual, synchronous workshop encourages participants to recognize the diversifying student population and current achievement in Connecticut, and how Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) can support all students achieve success in science. Real teaching scenarios written by teachers on the NGSS Diversity and Equity Team will be analyzed, and research and standards-based strategies will be reviewed. By identifying personal implicit biases, participants will be better equipped to address them within their own classrooms and schools, and apply strategies more effectively to best support all their students.
