Math, ELA, and Science, Oh My!: Cross-Curricular Planning for K-5 Teachers

In this session, teachers will learn the benefits of planning integrated instruction as well as some strategies for incorporating literacy into science and math. Teachers will then plan an integrated Learning Focused lesson, carry out the instruction, and then reflect on the process.

Teachers will learn how to plan integrated instruction that incorporates literacy strategies in both science and math.

Rationale for Providing this Professional Learning Experience
Integrated planning and collaboration will allow teachers to optimize instructional time and connect content standards to real-world scenarios.
