Bridge to Kindergarten Series: Authentic Writing
This workshop will explore the various ways early childhood teachers can incorporate authentic writing throughout the preschool classroom. Specific attention will be given to helping children express their thoughts and ideas through writing. Intended audience: Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers.
Objectives
"Participants will:1. Develop play-based learning experiences that support standards and cognitive rigor. 2. Plan to gather authentic assessment data through play-based, developmentally appropriate experiences in the early childhood classroom.3. Plan to use provocations and prompts to extend children's learning."
