Description
FOR CREC STAFF ONLY: All CREC certified staff are welcome to attend this annual event! Sessions will encourage meaningful collegial conversations; Professional learning required for ALL CREC teachers and certified staff members and optional for paraeducators and associate instructors (at supervisor's discretion.) Launch focuses on new or revised curriculum as well as the introduction of the 2022-23 areas of focus. Sessions are assigned based on position and content area.

PM: Literacy K-5: 1&2 - Structured Literacy- In this session participants will review phonological awareness and phonics concepts practiced during a coaching cycle in the 2021-2022 school year. Participants will collaborate to launch the curriculum which includes strategies and lessons for phonological awareness and phonics.

(Note: KG Paras are half day AM Only) AM: Visualizing and Verbalizing Strategies for K teachers- Visualizing and Verbalizing (V/V) develops language comprehension and thinking. The V/V program is designed for explicit and systematic instruction. The kit includes scope and sequence of the program, detailed overview of each step, and sample lessons.
