Rethinking Morning Routines in the Classroom: How to implement a "soft start" in K-3.
Educators will define what a soft start is and compare it to traditional morning work routines. They will discover how this quality practice can directly increase student engagement, collaboration, and independence in the classroom. Educators will also examine research related to the topic to support conversations around implementation.
Objectives
Participants will: 1.Define a soft start and compare it to traditional morning work. 2. Reframe some of their thoughts around morning routines. 3. Develop ideas for their own classrooms.
