(Digital ATDN) Creating Collaborative Opportunities in the Blended Learning Classroom
Collaborative learning is critical for student success and engagement. Digital learning tools, such as Jamboard, can enhance participation, collaboration, and creativity, both inside and outside the classroom. In this training, we will discuss the benefits of collaborative learning, explore strategies using Jamboard, and design learning opportunities ready to be implemented in your in-person or online classroom.

Goal: Introduce educators to collaborative tools that can be utilized within a virtual or in-person classroom setting.

Audience: Directors, Program Facilitators, and Teachers

Objectives
  • Review the benefits of collaborative learning and best practices
  • Discuss the collaborative features of Jamboard
  • Draw connections between Jamboard and other Google For Education apps
  • Demonstrate how Jamboard can be used on its own, or integrated into an LMS (such as Google Classroom)
  • Create a collaborative learning activity using Jamboard
