Interested school districts are asked to identify teams to participate in this work. Teams should include 3-8 members who are district and/or building level employees involved at any stage of the hiring process. Members can include administrators, human resources and DEI staff, teachers who are part of the interview process, BOE members, community partners, and anyone invested in this work.
In addition to attending the sessions outlined below, teams should plan to complete approximately 90 minutes of in-district work prior to attending each session. This in-district work will help facilitate teams’ examination of every phase of the selection and hiring processes to root out the potential for bias.
