Supporting Children Experiencing Trauma

For many children, trauma disrupts their social, emotional, cognitive and linguistic development. It is essential for early childhood educators to understand the impact of trauma on children, and to develop the skills necessary to support these children and their families. In this training, educators will develop a deeper understanding of the prevalence, causes, and effects of trauma on children and families, and will explore supportive strategies that build resiliency in young children. Participants will need to be able to mute and unmute their microphones, add comments to the chat box, and open links provided in the chat box.
