Education Lingo: Acronyms Explained
This is a 3-hour online, asynchronous course. Participants will complete the course in their own setting and at their own pace over the school year.As a result of this course, educators will be able to (1) determine the meaning of acronyms used across education, (2) organize acronyms into meaningful categories, (3) deepen their understanding of educational lingo to best serve students and families, and (4) reflect upon when to use and when not to use educational acronyms.This course is recommended for paraprofessionals, new teachers or those who have taken on a new role, and anyone who wants to better understand some of the more popularly used lingo in K-12 education.
