Cancellation Policy
It is expected that anyone registering for a course will attend since not participating will result in another applicant being excluded from a given course.  Please do not sign up for courses you do not intend to participate in. You will be allowed to cancel one course per semester without a penalty as long as there is a legitimate reason.

If you are unable to attend a course, you must follow all of the following guidelines:

A) Procedure to use up until 24 hours before the class starts:

1.  Contact the College/University you are enrolled in to let them know you are cancelling (Title IIA SBL and UFT programs). PLEASE NOTE: You must include in your email a detailed reason why you are withdrawing from the activity.
2.  Contact the Title IIA office at Abaumis@schools.nyc.gov via email giving the same information sent to the college/university.
3.  Go to www.protraxx.com. Select Course Registration located under the blue bar at the  top of the page.
4.  Select Bureau of Nonpublic School Reimbursable Services and log in.
5.  On the right side of the page click on the "My Courses" link.
7.  You will now see a list of all the classes you are enrolled in.
8.  Click on the  word "Withdraw" next to  the class you want to withdraw from and you will be removed from the course or workshop.

B)  Procedure to use if you need to withdraw from a course after it has begun:

 1.    Contact the College/University you are enrolled in to let them know you are cancelling (Title IIA SBL and UFT programs).
 2.   Contact the Title IIA office by emailing  Abaumis@schools.nyc.gov for Title IIA Programs (Make sure to include in your email a detailed reason for your withdrawal).

The consequence of not informing us that you will be unable to attend is that you will be prevented from participating in a Bureau of Nonpublic School Reimbursable Services related class  for the upcoming year.

Please Note: Withdrawal from a class after the beginning of the class should only occur in an emergency situation. As this action may incur a charge to the Title IIA program, a withdrawal from a class after the class has started may result in being prevented from participating in the Title IIA Professional Development Program for the upcoming year. In order to Withdraw from a course after the start date, please follow the instructions in section B above.

Canceled Graduate Courses
If a graduate course that you applied for is cancelled, you will be allowed to enroll in another course in its place within the open registration period.  When you are informed that the course you registered for is cancelled you will be given an option if possible to register for a different course.  Information regarding this will be included in the notification that your class has been cancelled. You will be required to respond to this email within the dates provided. This response must include the following information: the college/university/workshop you are attending, the course number, name, location, dates and times.  You may email  Abaumis@schools.nyc.gov for additional information.
