Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) Two-Day Refresher Workshop

This two-day refresher workshop is for participants who have already received their initial TCIS certification and are seeking to continue their certification (every 6 months). Participants should bring their student workbooks with them and be prepared for the physical components for both days. Participants will receive an updated certification upon completion of testing components.

Objectives
Participants will continue to review and practice: Behavior support techniques, emotional first aid, stress model of crisis, help me help myself crisis co-regulation, power struggles, LSI, protective intervention techniques, and physical restraints. Participants will be provided with specific support including review of ICMP plans, discussions of specific case scenarios, and any other information participants would like further support in implementing.
