Integrating Social Justice and Equitable Practices in Schools (Social Justice Consortium in the CREC Region)
Culturally Relevant Education
The CREC Region’s Social Justice and Equity Consortium is a membership only meeting. During each session, presenters will share information and research on three topics. Participants will share the best practices that are working in their classroom or school.Session I - Culturally Responsive Teaching: Participants will deepen their understanding and practices of culturally responsive teaching.Session II- Leadership: Building and Sustaining a Culturally Proficient School: Participants will learn the characteristics and actions that build and sustain culturally proficient schools.Session III - Examining and Understanding White Privilege: Participants will examine and deepen their understanding of white privilege and its impact on some educational practices.
Objectives
