Revitalizing Research and Nonfiction Writing Practices
During this workshop we will examine and discuss engaging practices for nonfiction writing and research across the content areas. We will practice ways to make the writing and research process come to life in the classroom. You will leave with the ability to utilize strategies from the book "Energize" and the other best practices and bring them back to the classroom. Workshop cost includes a copy of the book "Energize"
Objectives
Participants will:•Examine their current practices for non-fiction writing and research, including what’s working and what’s not working. •Understand the components of a writing workshop model and how that might work in their classroom. •Explore and practice ways to make the writing and research process come to life in the classroom. •Be able to utilize strategies from the book "Energize" and the other best practices.
