CREC Dine & Discuss: Improving Discourse through Problem Solving in the Secondary Mathematics Classroom

This workshop will be a continuation of the work being done during district-wide professional learning. CREC teachers will work with colleagues to discuss extended word problems and best practices that will promote discourse and problem solving. CREC teachers can bring ideas that they have tried in the past and ask for feedback to make them better, explore resources in the curriculum, or discuss how to structure problem solving activities to get the most discourse in your classroom by encouraging collaboration and communication between peers.

Objectives
CREC teachers will share best practice or lesson ideas that promote problem solving within their course and walk away with new ideas on how to implement these ideas into their course.
