9-12: Tackling Social Justice Issues Through Art
Can Art help us see the world through someone else’s eyes? Secondary teachers will focus on using Art to access and teach social justice issues. Stacey Queen, Education Associate at The Amistad Center for Art & Culture, who has been involved in arts education programs in Baltimore, MD and Washington DC since 2011, will lead the workshop.
Objectives
Secondary teachers will focus on using art to access and teach social justice issues. Participants will have an opportunity to go into the museum to see some pieces they are highlighting in their workshop.
