Next Steps of a Math Workshop Model in a Secondary Math Classroom

This half day workshop offers current secondary teachers of Math Workshop in their 5-8 classrooms the opportunity to explore common areas of concerns during math workshop. We will explore organization, increasing the rigor of math stations, student accountability in workstations, and teacher led small group instruction.

Objectives
Participants will learn how to continue the momentum in a math workshop classroom.

Things to know -

Workshop registration does not include breakfast or lunch. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverage or visit the CREC Central Café (111 Charter Oak Ave.) which offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options with daily specials.
Bring a refillable water bottle and/or beverage.
Bring a laptop or other electronic device (some workshops require only laptop) for note taking and access to online resources.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
Sometimes workshop room temperatures can vary so we suggest you dress in layers.
